2. It is highly known for Hawai Slippers (Polyurethane) which is manufactured in Kerala and is
preferred by customer all over India
Currently, company have factories in 10 states in India and a joint venture in Bangladesh and
high export to Malaysia, gulf countries, Singapore and Africa
VKC Groups expect that the govt. would focus more on non-leather sector for adaptation of
new technology like knitting to gather more customer interaction

4. Frequent Stock Outs
On visiting the website of VKC Group we realized they are
plagued with stock-out issue
No organised demand forecasting
Raw materials are procured either based on intuition or simple
past trend, ignoring any seasonal trend

No IS in place for distributors and dealers
Lack of IS complicates tracking sales, order planning, inventory
management and future forecasting

Lack of data
Absence of IS leads to lack of data with the company and not
able to plan their expansions in Northern parts of the country

Lack of platform for suppliers
Company does not have a platform to procure raw materials from
supplier and incentivise their dealers based on the sales outcome

Unable to manage production

VKC group has 20 production facilities spread across 6 states.
Handling production at all the plants becomes a huge task
without an IS in place
5. ERP for VKC Group:
It will help VKC group to procure resources from suppliers and maintain
relationship with them. It will VKC Group to gain insights of sales and
revenue from multiple depots and dealers

The depots keep the record of the sales and revenue in excel by manually entering the data
VKC group is having an IS for tracking sales and revenue
There is no IS for inventory management and procurement
Also, they are keeping record of sales of each depot
