2. GARMENT FINISHES
Finishing is the most important part of any product. As if we talk
about garment finishing it also plays a very important role this
is the point through which we can compare a branded garment
or a non branded garment. Judging garment finishing can be
done through seeing fabric inside if the garment is finished
from inside it will be either branded or expensive. Generally
when we go to buy clothes we randomly picks whatever was
there already in our mind or whatever we see while roaming
around inside the store.
The quality control can be seen on the necklines, shoulder
seams, hand finishes, interlocking and the placement of the
brand name tag with the use of invisible seam or the use of
transparent thread.

3. ADJUSTING TO FIT SQUARE
SHOULDERS
1.Starting at the armhole slash the
pattern piece about 1 ¼ “ or 3 cm
below and parallel with the
shoulder line, not cutting through
the neck seam.
2. Spread the pattern apart to
make the shoulder line straight.
Tape to pattern paper.
3. Redraw the line across the gap
created.
4. Raise the armhole by the
amount added at shoulder.

1. Starting at the armhole slash
the pattern piece about 1 ¼” or 3
cm below and parallel with he
shoulder line.
2. Overlap the pattern by the
required amount and tape it
place.
3. Lower the armhole by the
same amount drawing a new
seam line on the pattern.

1. Cut along the drawn lines that have
been drawn and spread the pieces of
pattern to accommodate the increase
in shoulder length.
2. Tape in place and redraw the
shoulder line.

2. Slight the cut out piece of pattern into
overlap the cut edges and reduce the
shoulder length.
3. Tape on to pattern paper and redraw
the shoulder line.
