Detailed Engineering activities for this facility - Design layout of forging equipments, handling
equipments, robots and manpower positions required etc. Make the proposed cycle time diagram
for entire facility.
Make foundation layout, trench layout for the whole forging line.
Handing over facility to Production personnel. Support during ramp up.
Define expected productivity requirements.
Design of New Facility :
Define portfolio of new facility.
Estimate CAPEX required, IRR and make broad project plan.
Freeze equipment specifications and handover to materials for negotiations & PO releasing.
Presentations to Board and seek approval for project.
Provide engineering support during execution and commissioning of the project.
Define Equipment (technical specifications), Manpower required for proposed facility.
Get budgetary quotes of equipments.
Fortnightly / weekly reviews with team for tracking progress.

projects in Pneumatic Conveying systems, Air Pollution Control System and Ventilation Systems.
Work included design of Plant and Piping / ducting layouts and design of Plant specified equipment
like Bag Filters, Silos, Hoppers, and Vessels etc. Also work included fabrication detailing for the
above. I was also involved in preparing Process and Instrumentation diagram, logic block diagram,
operation sequence etc. Also preparing specification of Instruments and bought out items. I had to
visit various consultants / clients for discussions and Approval of above.
