With pleasure I recommend Vikas Sharma as a skilful and ambitious MPA graduate and engaged professional in
Public Policy and Public Management.
I had the privilige of teaching a core module to Vikas within the Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree
program at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore between January
and May 2013.
Vikas was an active and engaged participant in class discussions and case assignments. His contributions to our
classroom were many, in particular he stood out with his sharp and critical observations, challenging the status
quo in ongoing discussions while making apt use of his decade long experience in management consulting.
My module ’Managing the Public Sector’ (PP5303) particularly prepares students for a professional career in
public or private management and management consultancy because it contains many case-based exercises, both
inside and outside the classroom, and applies a hands-on perspective to management issues within the public
domain and beyond. Vikas proved to be an active and dedicated student with an eagerness to harnass the skills
my module offered to the students.
