Job Duties:
• Follow tool sheet to perform multiple set ups on multiple machines.
• Operate most machines in the machine shop. Must be versatile. Candidate will need
to have Lathe experience but will be required to setup verticals and horizontals as
well.
• Select position and secure tools in tool holders (Chuck, Collet or turret).
• Ensure quality and dimensional tolerances by replacing worn or broken tools and
changing chucks, collet pads, holding fixtures and tool holders as required.
• Assist Machinist during set up of machine.
• Ensure highest quality is maintained on all parts being produced through proper use
of measuring devices, visual and mechanical inspection, and SPC techniques.
• Operate equipment in such a manner that raw materials are used to their best
advantage and tools are protected against breakage.
• Stack, mark and transport finished work pieces to next operation.

4. • Required to maintain the workstation in a neat and orderly manner, while observing
all safety and good housekeeping rules of the department.
• Have a good working knowledge of basic math, to include, addition, subtraction,
multiplication, division, percentages and decimals; and be able to work from written
and verbal instructions.
• The incumbent must maintain all equipment used in good working condition by
oiling, greasing and periodically freeing equipment of chips. Additionally, the
incumbent is required to maintain simple records, data sheets, work orders and time
cards as required.
