 Performed Layout inspection on vehicle in which physical cross verification of wiring harness routing and terminal
utilization of connector which resulted in introduction of efficient way of routing as well as minimization of
interconnections as compared with previous one.
 Testing of protosample of revised wiring harness on vehicle for its quality and feasibility checked, found OK for
implementation in 100% Ace Zip vehicles, design change in part got approved and green report released.
 Completed PPAP for modified value addition value engineering (VA-VE) wiring harness.
 Installed quality check poka-yoke and Vacuum checker at vendor end for better quality of connector.

2.  Potential saving achieved through this project was INR 40 million.
2. Project Name: Minimization ofwarranty complaints ofswitches and other electrical parts

 Design change of terminal construction and cam dimmer dimension increased by 3mm so high beam continuously
on problem was completely resolved in combination switch.
 Development of other alternative vendor for both combination switch and hazard warning switch. Intermittent
working of hazard warning switch spring force is reduced and endurance test for 25000cycles carried out.
Implemented test rig at supplier end.

proper complaint identification for failed part received under warranty.
 Targeted reduction in Expense per Vehicle (EPV) and Incident per thousand vehicles (IPTV) by 30%.

 B. Tech Level project in Cummins India limited (CIL) about localizing shut off valve, part of fuel pump assembly
of diesel engine in CIL.
 Process of manufacturing shut off valve changed to Aluminium Extrusion which resulted in raw material saving.
Potential savings achieved through this project was 50 lakhs.
 Completed testing of proto on test rig as well as engine. Created DVPR and Completed PPAP. Project was
received with great appreciation by the institution and CIL as well.

Transformers.
