47% - spend too much time on their mobile
phones
Over 62% - remain attached to their
devices even when they eat
One in five feel tired from excessive social
media use.
Back pain is their biggest problem, forcing
one in nine to take painkillers regularly.
45% - confessed they want to bring down
the time they spend on their mobile phones.
8. The survey reveals that:-
The average young Indian checks mobile phones 150 times a
day
One in every three texts and talks even when they are driving
One in two cannot survive beyond five hours without internet
95% Indians - their device is their lifeline
50% selfie deaths in the world occur in India – AIIMS Bhopal

There are new names for new disorders :
Nomophobia - fear of having no mobile phone
Textaphrenia - you think a message has arrived, when
it actually hasn’t
Textiety or panic attacks - not receiving text messages
56% - Keep mobile phones close to their body
93% - Got panic attacks if they did not get messages
19% - Had painful thumbs due to excessive texting
