Questions can be framed in two ways:

9. Question tag
• There are 24 ‘special verbs’ or ‘Finites’.
These verbs are also known as ‘Helping
verbs’ or ‘Auxiliaries’.
• These auxiliaries are mainly used in
Question Tags and Short Responses.
• During a conversation, it is very common
to make statements and immediately ask
the listener to confirm what was said. Such
a short question added to a statement is
called a ‘Question tag’.
