The primary purpose of an audit is to enable organizations to evaluate their
quality management systems, determine deficiencies, and generate efficient
solutions.
Essentially, it is used to measure an organization's ability to do what it says
it is going to do.

1. Purpose
To provide a system for testing and Inspection of Raw Materials and
ensure that the Raw Materials are meet to the Requirements / Quality
Specification.
2. Scope
This procedure applies to all the inspections and testing activities related
to Raw Materials.
3. Responsibilities
 Quality Management Head is responsible for Raw Materials Quality
planning and monitoring.
 Management Training Officer is responsible for Preparing and developing
the sop’s , training, work Instructions and inspection Standards.
 Raw Materials Quality Officer is responsible for monitoring of inspection.
 Quality Inspector is responsible for inspection.

4. Procedure
 Quality Management Head and SEO QM provides Quality Inspection
Standards and Sample Size.
 Raw Materials Quality Officers receive intimation of purchase order of Raw
materials from Procurement department weather the Raw materials are
local or imported through E-mail.
 After receiving the raw materials in store, store incharge inform Raw
Materials Quality Officers through E-mail and issue the sample as per
defined sample size.
 If lab test is required then Raw Materials Quality Officer mansion QC NO.
e.g (QA/Product Name/12/05-01) on each sample and send sample to
lab for test .
 Raw Materials Quality Officers receive Lab test reports through E-mail.
 Quality Inspector checks Raw materials as per specification / standards.
 If Raw materials is accepted as per quality specification and lab test
reports then Raw Materials quality Officer prepared three copies of quality
report, send one copy in store in-charge, one copy to QA head and save
one copy in records, and attached the released (Green) slips on accepted

 If Raw materials do not meet as Per Quality Specification then hold
complete lot, inform Quality Management Head, store department and
Procurement department through E-mail and attached the hold
(Yellow) slips on that Raw materials.
 After meeting Quality Management Head and Procurement
department then decided the hold raw materials are accept or reject.
