Praise be to Al-Mighty Allah, The Lord of Entire Universe. The Beneficent, the Merciful, Who is
the entire source of knowledge and wisdom. For the completion of this report I am indebted to
plenty of people for their sincere cooperation as well that they extended to me at various stages.
First and foremost problem that I faced is the completion of this report is not gathering data because
of the very cooperative and very professional support of supervisors, entire team and every single
Fatima Fertilizer Company’s employees who gave us their valuable time from their busy
schedules. Due to their efforts I am able to have much knowhow about the working environment
of Fatima Fertilizers.
But the main issue I had faced was writing the content into report form as it were in very
informal/lay man way communication between the farmers and dealers. The company’s employees
were very professional and knew how to communicate to the farmers and dealers and treated them
like they are willing to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of their products for both.
Anyhow, it is in fact a matter of great pleasure for me to express my sincere gratitude to our worthy
coordinator Sir Dr. Waqar Akram and Sukkur IBA University management team who put their
efforts for all arrangements of this internship program.
Finally, I am very honor to my Mother and my Uncle Mian Javed from North Carolina, United
States of America (my guardian) and my younger siblings who believed that I can do what I want
and supported me at every single step of my life. My entire achievements till today belongs to my
Mother and Grandmother and my younger siblings who stood like a stone against heavy storm.

2. Executive Summary:
As we know that Fertilizer sector have played a main role and major contribution in Pakistan’s
agriculture industry by providing them required fertilizer and professional educational and
technical support to the farmers for their maximum benefits, so, Fatima Fertilizers is also one of
them which is namely known as Fatima Fertilizer Company. Fatima group started working on
fertilizer industry in 2003 as a public limited company and under the company act 1984 and this
company both work in fertilizer sector manufacturing and selling of fertilizer and chemicals and
started manufacturing at Sadiqabad and Fatima group working on other type of industries for
example Reliance weaving mills, Fatima sugar mills, Fatima energy limited and Fatima holding
limited. After entry in the fertilizer business Fatima groups very fast growing in very short time
this sectors and very positive result in these sectors and purchasing of different unit of fertilizer.
Fatima groups to producing of high standard fertilizers and all types of fertilizer producing and
these groups to meet up the requirements of farmers and increasing of per acre yield of every type
of crops and maintain the fertility to every type of soils.
Journey of our internship started from Fatima Fertilizer Company’s regional head office near Canal
Rd, Faisalabad where we were engaged in Fatima Fertilizers Orientation for one day, Second day
I got assigned Chiniot zone and know about the entire processes of selling Fertilizer techniques.
then for 3 week I was all in the fields and observe about dealings with fertilizer dealers, farmers &
warehouse operations and management that gave me the knowledge about processes involved in
selling the product as well as solving the problems of our fertilizer customers, 4th
week we arranged
seminars & workshops for farmers on different locations and at University of Agriculture.
Faisalabad under the supervision of Fatima Fertilizer’s team and University’s professors. At
Fatima Fertilizer’s Company our reporting time was from 9 AM to 5 PM along with their free
transportation and lunch as well. After passing 1 month of internship at Fatima Fertilizer’s
Company I got lots of new experiences and learnings.
After completion of 1 month at Fatima Fertilizer Company, the journey of my internship came to
an end and showered me with new learnings, splendid experiences regarding fertilizers instead of
our no-agricultural background.

My 1 month of internship at Fatima made me feel that it would be my favorite company as the
Fatima Fertilizer Team said me that “Umair, Your accent and language is perfect to deal with
Farmers as well as Dealers”. My first language is Punjabi and the other languages like Urdu and
English I’ve learned at my educational institutes and from my fiancé from United States. Which
helped me to communicate better to the every kind of person from illiterate to post graduate. This
was a big difference between theory at the University and practical life at industries. During my
internship at fertilizers industry showed way of creating better links with professional network to
be connected with. I found the best platform for internship in brand company “FATIMA FERT.”
for me where I put my efforts to get real work experiences to explore my interests, polish my skills,
and somehow develop professional skills and competencies which are going to contribute more in
upcoming life in job field.
After an experience of 1-month internship, Fatima Fertilizer Company has become the one of my
preferred companies and I like to work there because of they touched my heart and appreciate my
routine doings and behaviors and happy to see me as a person. I like the way they treated me and
feel me like home and they are my own people. That’s what I want from my job to never tired and
feel happy while doing my work.

4. Introduction
Fertilizers play a pivotal role in the development of agriculture sector. Fatima Fertilizer is proud
to be the first and only green field project in Pakistan. Our company’s fertilizer complex is a fully
integrated facility, capable of producing intermediate and final products.
The Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited was incorporated on December 24, 2003, as a joint venture
between two major business groups in Pakistan namely, Fatima Group and Arif Habib Group.The
foundation stone of the company was laid on April 26, 2006 by the then Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The construction of the Complex commenced in March 2007 and is housed on 950 acres of land.
We produce two intermediate products Ammonia and Nitric Acid and four final products Urea,
Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN), Nitro Phosphate (NP) and Nitrogen Phosphorous Potassium
(NPK) at Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan.

phosphors 46% are same both and two types of packing bags of this industry’s and using this
fertilizer the time of sowing crops to different quantity according to land condition and crops.

But DAP are not suitable to Pakistani land, Pakistani lands PH 8.7% and this fertilizers PH 8.6%
that is not big changes to Pakistani lands and cannot good result provides of our farmers and side-
effect hardness of land before using this fertilizer and suitable to cool areas but farmers using this
fertilizer behind the reason shortage of NP.

This fertilizer 26% of nitrogen capacity and this fertilizer using after germination 1st and 2nd
time
of irrigation to crops and CAN more effective and efficient reflect to Urea.

to DAP in Pakistani lands and good result generating of every types of crops and Pakistani lands
PH 8.7 when this fertilizer used then our land big changes of PH 3.5 NP fertilizer set of our lands
and provides good result to our farmers.

5.2.2. DSM:
Controlling the all activity of this warehouse and DSM according to the availability of stock and
supply of fertilizers receiving the orders of fertilizer to dealers and documentation of new dealer
joining of Fatima fertilizer dealership and checking of every day in and out stock.
5.2.3. In-charge:
Warehouse to maintain the daily recordkeeping and records the all expense of warehouse and
maintain the stoking capacity of warehouse and properly checking the stock before and after
loading of the fertilizers then provide of gate pass to truck and daily rate of fertilizers and stock
available in warehouse to write down in notes board.

division sale manager Sir Ghulam Rasool and we were involved in different activity with him.

market of Chiniot division places and to meet the these dealers and to promote to the Fatima sales
in different way and provide the different incentives to these dealers and this manager cannot only
meet the Fatima groups dealers but they are also meet to every company’s dealer and provides the
information about Fatima groups fertilizer incentive and benefits and profits margin reflect to
others company and add new dealers with the personal marketing skills and with company brand
and to provides the information of new dealers about company policies and he was great working
on the marketing of Fatima group’s fertilizer and creating of long term relationship with dealers
and farmers.

aware them all implementation of this fertilizers, approximately 27000 farmers registered by this
TSO and performs other activities.
5.4. Soil sampling
This type of activity TSO performs at the farmer’s soil before sowing the crops sample with auger
and provides the information about soil condition and soil nutrients and what are types of fertilizer
to provider of this soil.
5.5. Demonstration Plot
Demonstration plots TSO sowing in selective farmers, who’s person the famous personality of this
areas and progressive types of farmers and provides the fertilizer of Fatima fertilizer methods to
this plots and farmers side same sowing crops and using personal methods of irrigation and
fertilizer and harvesting time to compare with both crops and every time good results provides of

8. Conclusions
This 1-month period of internship helped me out to polish my entire skills and knowledge I
have learnt through academic theory, Fatima Fertilizer was the most suitable platform for me
where I was provided a chance to learn more & more, knowledge, new skills through making
myself engaged in various activities at Fatima Fertilizer Company.
I have spent the most splendid experience with Fatima group during my 1-month internship
and Fatima showed me a way that I should lead in my future even though in fertilizer sector.
During this 1-month I knew about my weak point on which I need to work on.
Fatima Fertilizer provided me a chance to develop productive relation with professionals and
to be in touch with them for my bright future. Internship at Fatima Fertilizer taught me about
my responsibilities that I have to take in professional job-career such as time punctuality,
target achievements etc. these 1 month of internship made me feel that Fatima Fertilizer is the
most comfortable place with loving & fit environment where I can do job in future without
any hesitations.
So, what I believe is, Fatima Fertilizer doesn’t leave its employee in lurch and always put its
all efforts for accomplishing employee dream, desires and it will be my lucky time to work
with Fatima Fertilizers Company.
