A Fellow of the Indian Institute of
Management, Ahmedabad, Uma Jain
combines the experience of being a
corporate HRD Manager, an internal
and external organization Development
consultant, an organizational leader and
a teacher of organizational behavior for
more than three decades.
She has conducted training and OD work in wide variety
organizations in private, public, NGO and Government sectors
in India and conducted programmes in several countries
including USA, Austria, Singapore, Dubai, Iran and Mauritius.
She has over 30 publications in national and international
journals, including three books to her credit.

“The Organizational Lab is a powerful experience to see the peculiar
positions we trap ourselves into - Tops, Middles and Bottoms. Through the
Time out of Time (TooTs) debriefings - the imposing silos became clearer,
which are the unwanted trappings of so called 'organizational effectiveness'
and 'execution speed' . Experiencing the program taught me to see
management roles with new lenses - and how interpreting actions in the
absence of dialogue / feedback - leads to corruption of trust and doubting
of intentions. One of the biggest take away from the simulation was to
sincerely empathize and understand the reality of being a Top, Middle and
Bottom. To see individuals as sincerely attempting to do their best - despite
organization impositions”
