Quarantine and Isolation Chart — Student Health
1. QUARANTINE—Dependent on vaccination/boosted status. ISOLATION—Everyone who tests positive, regardless of vaccination status, previous infection, or lack
of symptoms.
VACCINE STATUS: Fully vaccinated with
primary series, plus booster (if in the
eligible timeframe). This applies to
individuals who previously recovered from
COVID-19, including within the past 90
days.
Exposed (close contact within 6 feet for 15 minutes or longer);
quarantine IS NOT required.
• Wear a well-fitted, non-cloth mask* around others, especially
indoors, for 10 days.
• TEST (PCR, Pop Testing, ANTIGEN/LAMP test preferred if
recently recovered from COVID) immediately and on DAY 5
after your last exposure (Day 1 is first full day after exposure). If
the test is positive, follow isolation instructions.
• If symptoms develop within the 10-day period, isolate and test
again. If the test is positive, follow isolation instructions. If test
is negative, speak to a healthcare provider.
Tests positive through PCR Test (Pop Testing); OR has symptoms and tests positive with another test.
• Begin isolation period and prepare to stay in isolation for 10 days.
• If an ANTIGEN/NAAT/LAMP TEST is available on day 5 after symptom onset (or after positive
test if asymptomatic) and the results are negative, AND there has been no fever for the past
24 hours (without the use of fever reducing medication), AND other symptoms are
improving, the individual may leave isolation on Day 6. First day of symptoms or positive
test (if asymptomatic) is Day 0.
• For the remainder of the 10-day period, the individual should wear a well-fitted mask
around others, especially indoors.
• If the criteria above IS NOT MET the individual should stay in isolation for a full 10 days.
• If symptoms develop within the 10-day period (and were previously absent), follow the
above isolation guidelines and isolate for at least 5 days from symptom onset.
• If symptoms worsen after improving, return to isolation until no fever (without the use of
fever-reducing medication) for the previous 24 hours, AND other symptoms improve.

individuals, and not fully vaccinated
individuals. This applies to individuals who
previously recovered from COVID-19,
including within the past 90 days.
