Can Manufactures is a Botswana manufacturer of world- Class cans. It has been operating since
2007, 70 kilometers south of the capital city Gaborone, in Lobatse. Can Manufactures boasts

BOTSWANA MEAT COMMISSION (BMC)
Botswana Meat Commission was established on the 24 December 1965, by an Act of Parliament
to promote the development of the country’s beef and related beef products.
The first abattoir was opened in Lobatse with Maun and Francistown abattoirs following in 1983
and 1989 respectively. BMC has had a significant contribution to the development of the country
over the years. In the early years of Botswana’s development as an independent nation, beef
export was the only foreign exchange earner.
BMC headquarters in Lobatse has an integrated complex housing an abattoir, deboning and
cutting plant, cannery rendering plant and tannery. Besides owning three abattoirs in Botswana,
BMC has a cold storage facility and Sales Office in Table Bay - Capetown, as well as another
sales office in the United Kingdom (UK).

BOTSWANA MEAT COMMISSION (BMC) Botswana Meat Commission was established on the 24 December 1965, by an Act of Parliament to promote the development of the country’s beef and related beef products. The first abattoir was opened in Lobatse with Maun and Francistown abattoirs following in 1983 and 1989 respectively.
