12. Membership & participation framework
This Transport/Logistics Forum is a national anti-hijackings collaboration and
information sharing platform and associated management structure and capacity.
This platform is of relevance to all businesses and stakeholders who are vulnerable
to, and are victims of, truck hijackings as well as government agencies which have a
mandate to deal with this national threat.
The primary purpose is to improve information sharing and cooperation across the
industry as well as between the industry and government agencies, in addition to
being a catalyst to reduce hijackings meaningfully.

• Strengthen and structure the partnership and cooperation between
industry and government;
• Enhance information, and sharing, on hijacking incidents across the
industry, modus operandi, hot spots, trends, suspects, etc.;
• Proactively address transport operator and freight service provider
vulnerabilities and risks;

• Monitor and provide feedback on arrest and convictions – and alleviate
any blockages and impediments;
