Extensive carries on distal of tooth #45 after loss of previous restoration. Case showing how Triodent Wave-Wedge, V3 Tab-Matrix and V3 Ring in use.

1. Clinical Case DO on second premolar using V3 Universal Ring Len Boksman, DDS

2. 1 Extensive caries on distal of tooth #45 after loss of previous restoration.

3. 2 Tooth isolated with rubber dam and tooth prepped with a round-ended #332 bur.

4. 3 Triodent Wave-Wedge, V3 Tab-Matrix and V3 Ring placed.

5. 4 Tooth was etched for 15 seconds with 35% phosphoric acid (pictured), then rinsed and gently dried. G5 desensitizing agent was sparingly applied to the dentin and the excess removed with suction.

6. 5 A single coat of MPa bonding resin was applied, air-thinned and cured for 10 seconds with a Valo curing light.

7. 6 The gloss indicates complete coverage of the enamel and dentin in a one-coat application.

8. 7 The restoration was lined with Cosmedent De-Mark, then incremental layers of a single shade of CosmedentNano were added. Note the occlusal embrasure form.

9. 8 After removal of the matrix, the bucco-lingual contour and tight contact are revealed.

10. 9 Initial contouring with a multi-fluted finishing bur.

11. 10 A Contour point (Clinical Research Dental) was used for final shaping and initial polish.

12. 11 Polishing complete.

13. 12 Completed case.
