Monthly Process Planning Cycle Key User re-runs the forecasts which now include the most recent month’s sales Key User generates and sends out spreadsheets and notifies others that they should now update their forecasts directly in their APO planning books . Sales people review and update their forecasts for specified horizon. Sales people return their excel Spreadsheets to demand managers who uploads them into DP Key User makes extracts for use in off-line tools for rough-cut capacity checks in legacy systems (Spreadsheets, MIMI, GALT etc) Regional Demand Manager reviews the supply demand balance and resolves any issues with business and manufacturing managers. Results loaded into Constrained Forecast IBMs process Final part is a sign-off of the sales plan and upload to corporate systems Demand Manager / Key User Releases Constrained Forecast to supply planning where supply chain will generate or adjust Preqs and planned orders for forecast falling inside its horizon Demand Managers analyses the combined forecasts against history and plus any other initiatives (e.g. price changes, phase-out/in).
