Basis:
System responsibility for overall Drilling Systems for projects and rigs in operations
Experience transfer from Drilling Operations into the design.
Support operations dept. when complex systems and machines are in need of conseptual and
integrational systems knowledge.
Perform small and medium size studies for customers as systems responsible or project
manager. Mostly about 3’rd party equipment. These studies focus on subsea and moon pool
equipment integration on rig and running in hole/launch etc.
Presentations and lectures. Holding presentations for projects or lecturing internally or
externally about offshore related topics. Lately for Aker Subsea WOS, and HIVE(Høyskolen I
Vestfold)
Tasks in project:
Verify implementation of customers functional requirements
Establish 3D model for operational sequence verifications
For Concept Review
For Operational Hazops
Establish sequence procedures for tubular handling systems.
Establish sequence procedures/material handling for 3’rd party equipment (XMT,Wos,

Previous work description
Project Follow-Up Manager (Aker MH Operations division):
When the rig or single equipment is finish commissioning from the yard and is put into the
operational phase under warranty, the PFU manager is responsible for the following on behalf
of the Operations division in Aker MH:
- Contractual co-responsible in the warranty period.
- Responsible for coordinating enquiries after accepted handover of the project to
Operations division and until warranty expired certificate is issued to Customer (PFU
period). This includes the following responsibility:
o Coordinate the Operational Support Agreement (OSA).
o Coordinate agreed carry over work between Project and Operations.
o Coordinate the implementation of project accepted Variation Orders (VO).
o Coordinate any CCN that are issued
o Coordinate SAP registration of equipment, including functional location
o Coordinate warranty issues.
o Coordinate service work handling.
o Coordinate other project related issues.
The PFU manager also coordinates:
- Warranty Handling
- Service Work Handling
- Outstanding Carry Over Work (COW) agreed between Project and Operations.
- Accepted variation orders (VO)..
- Outstanding Construction Change Note (CCN).
- Any changes in SAP CS or additional equipment installed
- Operational Support Agreement (OSA) consisting:
o Service
o Training
o Spare parts
When the rig comes into normal operation after warranty is expired PFU agrees warranty
condition terms with the Customer for completion. These terms shall be formalized in a
closing letter accepted by both Aker MH and Customer.
When the warranty period is expired, the rig follow-up will be handled by Operations
Support Centre (OSC).A handover meeting shall be held between PFU leader and OSC to
ensure that all applicable information is available before the rig systems/equipment is
handed over to OSC.

8. XMT(Christmas-tree)/technical Support engineer
Being one of the support engineers in Aker Subsea I provided technical support to Aker
Subsea operations divisions workshop in any matter regarding subsea equipment and gear
maintenance, repair, investigations, troubleshooting or refurbish. This mainly about
modification, change and performance ranging from drawings and documentation to
redesign and test programs.
I also provided offshore operational support regarding technical operational problems with
Christmas-trees or tools/subsea gear failing offshore, needing urgent assistance fromshore
troubleshooting and solving whatever the problem could be.
Also being responsible for mobilizing qualified staff to perform work on rig downtime or
other urgent situations related to above descriptions.
I also participated in product development and research( R&D) within Aker Subsea.
Previous professional work
Sailing as a trainee-engineer on a big ferry achieving ship-engineers certificate to complete
my engineers’ education.
Working as a professional officer for a year in the Norwegian navy and attending to Navy
Officer School sailing for a period on a Norwegian steamfrigate as an engineer with
responsibility for serving the boilers and turbine.
Before this working offshore as a professional welder, welding all types off metal ranging
from titanium pipes and tubes to steel construction. Also working as mechanic and pipefitter
and foreman in bigger offshore or onshore projects.
Before this working as the same on shipyards and in various positions and companies. Most
of them within Kvaerner or the later Aker system.
