Human Resource Payroll Manager 2013-Current (3+ Years)
♦ Oversee all activity in the Payroll and HR Department to ensure accurate and compliant
process and procedures meeting all Payroll/HR laws and guidelines. Manage 8 direct reports and 75
sub reports. Oversee onsite HR/Payroll staff for a total of 75 Office Managers for 75 stores (5000
Active, 15,000 Total through year). Responsible for overseeing accurate training and implementation
of guidelines as well as overseeing the filing of quarterly and yearly payroll taxes including any
necessary adjustments such as W2C’s, 941’s, DOL, WC etc. Work closely with Director of Finance in
managing payroll taxes and linking GL accounts to payroll software. Maintain state unemployment and
tax withholding accounts. Process all quarterly adjustments as well as city or county special taxes.
Process all quarterly multi-jurisdiction site reports. Process bonus and pay for executive team as well
as overall company incentives.
♦ Analyze business practices to ensure proper controls in place to meet with SOX compliance.

♦ Review new laws and modify internal policies if necessary to meet with the correct
interpretation and set up new measures in place so these guidelines are followed and maintained with
accuracy.
♦ Create and maintain policy and training manuals, handbooks surrounding procedure, new
store implementation, tax follow up and guidelines as well as all HR policies, laws and guides for 24
states.
♦ Responsible for setting up new stores criteria in new locations as well as setting up new
states taxation accounts and billings. Audit and maintain accurate records for state filings and billings.
♦ Responsible for setting up new software systems and integrations and conversions, testing
for accuracy and maintaining databases. Develop recommendations for improvements, research better
solutions and greater efficiency both in technology and in practices.
♦ Supervise all payroll processes and adjustments in the payroll system. Process weekly
payroll reports for executive teams review as well as reconciliation of 401k and general ledger. Manage
benefit deductions. Maintain integrity and research all discrepancies with regard to HR and Payroll
activities and processes. Account for all returned and stale dated checks as unclaimed property and
filing with each state. Validation of Multiple Jurisdiction reports for quarter end. EEO filings, multiple
worksite filing, new state/location setup.
♦ Responsible for paying out stock options through the direction of the President of the
company and implementing proper taxation.
♦ Maintain high level of confidentiality working with the HR Director, CFO and President to
maintain the highest standards. Assist the Accounting Department in reconciling the payroll and
benefits accounts. Verify all ADP invoices. Complete all other tasks assigned by upper management.
