11. I have chosen to have my friend act out the film for me and she fits what
I wanted for the basic horror with a short woman running from a monster
out of a forest, But should she become unavailable the fall back I had
was to get my friend Ben to use the camera to record me doing the
same roll as he is the only person close enough to be available at short
notice. This is how I will work the recording and filming of my film and
how I will finalise the shot list in the long term. Because I only need the
one actor I won't need to worry about having too many people to keep
out of shots or make sure are available when I want to film. This is very
advantageous for me unlike other people.
12. RISK
ASSESSMENT
Risk Effect solution
Tripod breaks Less steady filming/
broken camera.
Have a back up and keep
the camera strap on the
camera man while
recording.
Faulty or marked lens Blurred or unusable
footage.
Carry a back up lens and
have the lens cap on
when the camera isn't in
use.
Someone gets injured They may become unable
to work on the film be it
the actor or the camera
man.
Have back up crew incase
the worst happens.
Actor sprains a limb Cant work or walk
depending on what they
sprain
Apply a cold compress or
avoid having them do
something out of their
range
13. There are many things that could go wrong in this project. To
compensate for these things I have come up with some fall back
ideas. The first major thing that could go wrong would be that the
camera malfunctions with either the battery or otherwise rendering
it unusable, For this I would take a spare battery and a if the worst
were to happen I could record on my phone but the only problem
would be that the image would be very unstable or I would not be
able to control the focus of the filming. My actor may not be able to
turn up to help film this project for me, if this happens I can take her
place and be my own actor but this will take away from me learning
the skills to direct my own actors in the future and in turn may affect
the outcome of my film overall
15. The sounds I need to get for the diegetic sound are for the
footsteps and the background noise of the two environments being
the streets I'm filming on and my own room, the non diegetic
sounds I need are for the background music and the sounds for
cars and banging in the house that I can't produce during filming
from the limitations I have from the lack of equipment.
