14. In my film there are 3 roles which are needed to be played. Lucy, the old
best friend who is close with Jaz now. Jaz, a new girl who will become best
friends with Lucy and Caz who is the ex best friend who turns psycho
when she sees Jaz and Lucy together. As I have previously stated three
girls in my class are going to play these, Sim is Lucy, India is Jaz and
Maya is Caz.
Libby will be my backup in case any of the girls turn ill during my filming
week.

22. MOVING TO A LOCATION- When moving the equipment to my
locations, I will be carrying the camera around my neck. The Tripod will
be packed away while I carry it and the Tascam recorder will be carried
as well. To make sure nothing is damaged I will never carry the camera
on the tripod when moving as this is most likely when it will get damaged.
COSTUME- There are no specific costume which will be shown, I told
the cast just to come in something casual and what they would where
everyday. I specifically said that there should be no inappropriate outfits
(which I doubt there would be anyway). This is just general knowledge as
its only certificated at a 15.
PROPS- During my short film I am only using two props which will be
headphones for my 6th and 7th shot and a phone to fake text. These are
quite easily to acquire as many teens carry these crucial objects with
them every day.
24. Foley sounds are sounds in the environment that my characters would
experience throughout the film. As I have already recorded my own sound
effects through a Tascam recorder at the start of this project, I already have
some Foley sound effects. So I know what I am doing when it comes to me
making my own sound effects in the environment which I am filming in. If I
desperately run out of time I will use some royalty free sounds but I wouldn't’t
choose this technique over the Foley sound effects.
When planning for my short film, I have a few audio sounds which I want to
create. One is a gun shot, to create this sound I will use a heavy duty staple
to create this noise. I also need to include the phrase “Time is running out” I
will create this by using a Tascam recorder as well.
25. Non Diegetic sounds are sounds which the audience experience but are not part
of the characters experience. In most cases it is specifically soundtracks. When I
produce my short film I will use a soundtrack as my backing music as without that
it will not be very atmospheric instead it would just be my diegetic noises which
aren’t very exciting. I would get this soundtrack off a royalty free source, this
means that it can be copyrighted if its royalty free.
I have been looking at a few soundtracks to go with my short film and I want 15
seconds or so of happy music but when the two friends fall out I want very
atmospheric and horror noise.

If I had enough time I would produce my own soundtrack from garage band but
seen as though I'm on a very tight schedule I don’t think I would be organised
enough to fit making my own soundtrack in that time.
