What is a Curriculum Vitae?
Your life journey
Your Skills; A CV is a marketing tool
The world generally is competitive and your CV is the first
impression anyone would have of you before getting to meet
you. No matter what
you do, or how qualified you are, your CV is undoubtedly the
most important
thing. Imagine your CV as an information sheet that will list
the benefit of
having you and your services in a particular program.
3. Why you should have a CV
IT WOULD MAKE YOU MORE RESPONSIBLE
I wrote my first CV when I was in 200L, after writing it, I realized I had not done anything
with my life and I knew from that day I needed to be more responsible and intentional
about my personal growth and development if i must be relevant and thrive in life not
also trivializing the God factor. I realized I needed to build experience and skill. I became
responsible by taking up leadership position and building up skills tailored towards 'my
career aspirations' and the future i desire.
IT GAIN YOU ACCESS TO NUMEROUS OPPORTUNITIES
As an undergraduate, I have gained numerous opportunitiesfrom having a good CV.
A particular company in The Netherland needed a regionalagent to work for them
here in Nigeria and of course would be on pay role, and all that was required to
apply for the job is just CV and nothing more. I never looked down on myself as an
undergraduate because i was confident of my CV so iwent ahead submitted it and
that's how i got the job. There are countless of opportunities i'd gotten access to
with the aid of my CV including the Harvard program i was just selected for.
IT REMINDSYOU WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TOWARDS HITTING YOUR GOAL
There is a way my CV reminds me of the things I have not done, i mean a lot yet to be
achieved that's ought to be in my CV to make me much more competitive in the global
space. For example, if you desire to work with WHO, your CV will bring to your
remembrance the next step you have to take. It reminds you of what needs to beadded to
increase your chances. It helps you to identify your weaknesses and pushes you to get
better
