Music Magazine
    Questions:
       Target Readership
   Imagine you are the editor of this magazine. Make a list of
    five possible sections/articles that could be present in this
    publication.
   If I was the editor of this magazine I would have the following
    sections; Gigs/Concert Dates, Music Updates,
    Fashion&Technology, DJ News.

   Explain the content of each section, with specific details on
    why you think these sections would satisfy the target reader.
   All the sections will satisfy the target reader because
    Gigs/Concert Dates will inform the reader when the latest
    upcoming events take place, also telling them who will be
    there. Music Updates will keep the reader keen to know when
    the new songs are available to download and purchase.
    Fashion&Technology the target reader will be up to date with
    new trends that the artist set, which will make them want to
    buy the best gadgets to play their new songs on such as
    IPods and headphones.
   DJ News will allow the reader to know what Dj’s on the top 10
    rank.

   What possible layout, language and overall style of magazine
    would suit this content and readership do you think? Compare
    to other music publications you are familiar with.
   I would have a layout that is similar to NME, this is because it is
    nice and simple, making it easy to find information. This will
    attract more attention from the target readers knowing that
    the magazine wont be overcrowded with too much
    information. The language that I will use will be standard
    English with some form of ‘Colloquial language’ due to the
    fact that this magazine is aimed at teenagers they will
    understand the meaning of abbreviated words.
   Imagine you are the advertising executive on this magazine.
    What companies would send this reader profile to in the hope
    of generating some advertising deals? Explain your decisions.
   If I was a advertising executive I will contact Westfield this is
    because many teenagers shop there as well as the many
    shops that are also there. For example Footlocker and T-
    Mobile shop. This is because they can access the latest
    trainers and new technology that has been advertised in this
    magazine.
