  1. Hello everyone, my name is Timothy and today I am going to be talking about increasing employee satisfaction and the importance of it.
  2. The agenda for today would be touching on frontline sales employees, followed by Implementing change and finally addressing the possible concerns and solutions.
  3. This is a photo of our frontline sales personnel who are in direct contact with the customers. They directly generate income for the company and their satisfaction and motivation levels are important
  4. Frontline sales employees are our customers’ point of contact with the brand, which makes it even more important to address. The concern here is that they don’t feel recognized and there is poor communication with regards to their needs. They want to be heard and for their opinions to be considered
  5. The two changes that I would like to recommend to be implemented are: Having monthly meetings and engaging Feedback sessions
  6. What are the benefits of these changes? Firstly, there will be Increased employee engagement and there will also be a shared sense of purpose amongst employees.
  7. Employee engagement is an employee’s intellectual and emotional connection with an employer, demonstrated by motivation and commitment to positively impact the company vision and goals. Based on a study done by Gallup in 2017, it has been found that engaged employees are 21% more profitable and 17% more productive.
  8. Another benefit of implementing this change would be increased job satisfaction. Increased job satisfaction enhances an employees commitment to the organisation and they will wish to remain in the job to give their best. On the flipside, unsatisfied employees will always be on the lookout for another job and will leave the organization at any slight chance or opportunity. Only 22% of employees who have poor managers and poor leaders intend to stay with an organization. 43% working in the retail industry feel as though their ideas aren’t valued.   9. Lastly, with increased employee satisfaction, it will foster a good working environment and organization having satisfied employees are more productive, have a good working environment and possess good reputation.
  10. These are some positive impacts as demonstrated by organisations. Listening to employees also positively impacts their performance as they will be in a better working environment and are more satisfied with their jobs If the employer prioritizes HR practices that promote well‐being, employees will respond positively various indicators of performance.   11. Lastly, I understand that there may be some concerns with regards to this change. However I have proposed some solutions. The board of directors might be less open to taking in suggestions as they are unwilling to change business practices that have been in place for many years. Having a company culture where people will bring their ideas to work has been associated with many important outcomes in such areas as productivity, employee engagement, retention and innovation
