4. SIX PROPOSITIONS FORMULATED
FOR HIS RESIDENTIAL BUILDING
• SIMPLICITY AND REPOSE:
Building should not have complex plan .Comfort and
utility should go hand in hand with beauty.
• HARMONISING:
A building should appear to grow easily from its
site, and be shaped as if it was itself created by
nature for and from that landscape.
• PROMOTING NATURAL COLOURS
• BRINGING OUT THE NATURE OF MATERIALS
• STATEMENT OF FAITH
5. ELEMENTS
COMMON TO HIS
BUILDING
• All materials are used in the natural
form
• Free flow of space ,no sharp
distinction between the inside and
the outside.
• No ornamental facades
• Quality spaces no attics and no
dead spaces
• Built in furniture
• Grandeur is used sparingly.
6. THE FALLING WATER
HOUSE
• The design of the house promotes a
harmony between man and nature, so that
the buildings, walls, and structureswithin
the house are extensions of the exterior
world.
• The materials of the structure blends with
the colours of rocks and trees,
while occasional accents
are provided by bright furnishing , like wild
flowers or birds outside.
