J.Terry McCarthy has developed a substantial Industrial and Consumer Goods sector
Management Consulting Practice. His clients have included: MasterCard Intl., Lucent Technologies,
Apple , Inc. , NIKE Intl., General Electric, Time-Warner,NBC/Universal, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson,
Barclays Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, CIT Financial, Fidelity Investments. He currently is a
Principal in AmericasAmazing Teens, Inc. and an Operating Board Member of HubHuman,Inc.,
The New York Tennis Open, and previously Riviera Partners, Inc.
Mr. McCarthy began his business career as a M&A financial analyst for WR Grace Intl. He later joined
the Philip Morris Corporation in its Corporate Planning Group, where he was involved in the
‘Diversification Strategy’ leading to major acquisitions within the Beverage,Food and RealEstate
Industries, namely: ‘Miller Beer’, ‘Seven-Up’‘General Foods’, ‘Kraft Foods’ and ‘Mission Viejo’, a
California ‘Planned City’. Terry was jointly responsible for developing the “Caffeine-Free” Soda
Segment, an Industry Innovation First - and prior to acquiring ‘Seven-Up’ Soft Drink Brands.He
assumed more senior management marketing roles in various European and Asian Marketing positioning.
Terry was subsequently recruited to ITT’s ‘Telecom Group’, as President and Chief Marketing Officer
of a newly formed, Private Equity-owned, Stand-Alone firm, where he successfully transformed the core
businesses into a rapidly growing, Consumer, ‘Emerging -Technology-based’ provider in a 55-nation
marketing/distribution network. The Private Equity partners’ successfully sold of ‘The TelecomGroup’
to a European Multinational for a high multiple 4 years later.
Terry McCarthy subsequently served for over five years as the Senior Executive Vice President –Head
of Marketing & Strategy for United Jersey Banks, growing from 12th
to the 8th
Largest US Bank, at the
time. While at United Jersey Banks,he was the first to develop and market the “Home -Equity Line of
Credit” Product that was later replicated by nearly 94% of US & EU Banks. As the Chief Marketing
Officer (CMO) , he created the “Accutrack Product”, which led to gaining a 80%+ Market Share of NJ
Law Firm Relationships and later heading up severalBanking Subsidiaries, a number of which he
developed through Acquisitions or Joint-Venture Partnering.
Terry joined as a Managing Partner - U.S. – for Marketing Solutions, and laterPA Management
Consultants, the EU’s second largest Management Consulting Firm in New York in a senior-level
strategy, consulting capacity, assisting in crafting Client Revenue and Marketing Initiatives for industry-
leading clients , such as: MasterCard Intl., creating:
‘World Cup Soccer Sponsorship’ in the US and expanding to global sponsorship dominance;
Two successful Sports Programming formats for NBC’s ‘Telemundo Television Networks’.
Mr. McCarthy received a B.A. in History with Honorsfrom Gannon University.He was a member of the
Blue Key HonorFraternity,as well as playing Intercollegiate Basketball and Tennis.
He received a M.A. from Columbia University and New York University in Diplomatic History,
International Affairs and International Finance.
Terry served as a Line Officer in the US NAVY in the Pacific Fleet, aboard the Attack Aircraft
Carrier - The USS Kitty Hawk.
