customer satisfaction on a global basis within Business Unit Graphite and Carbon Electrodes. As part of the global Business Unit
Management Team, set global long term strategy for a $1 billion USD business. Steered the Business Unit production system as a

Accomplishments
Developed and implemented Global Sales and Operations Planning system that stretches across multiple manufacturing
and sales organizations . Chaired the monthly Global Sales and Operations Planning process.
Solution Leader for SAP/MRP implementation. Responsible and accountable for development of standardized processes
and practices. Reengineered and implemented global Material Requirements Planning in 9 plants (3 in North America, 1 in
Asia, and 5 in Europe).
Developed and implemented new planning system within Business Unit on a “make to stock” based process. Received
global leadership award for conscious building and implementation of project throughout all levels and functions of the
organization.
Championed over 8 global six sigma projects on topics such as: lead time improvements, Make to Stock Based Planning,
slow moving inventory utilization, order release and customer delivery process improvements, and portfolio optimization.
Directed production planning and MRP utilization in the startup of a new facility in Malaysia which represents 30% of
global capacity and focuses on servicing the Asian market.
Steered global planning system with focus on customer satisfaction and minimized cost during 10 closure/lockouts at
facility in Narni, Italy that serves 25% of European market. Spearheaded planning/logistic activities during plant closure.
Supply Chain Member of Strategy Team responsible for the closure of Lachute, Canada facility that served 50% of the
North American market.
Supply Chain leader for selecting 3rd Party Logistic provider in order to convert Canadian customer base from local
producer to importer from Europe and Asia. Established customer needs, documentation requirements, logistic lanes and

Directed site and corporate management on the execution of the global business strategy with regard to controlling, production and
inside sales for all North American locations to optimize global operational efficiency and profit. Ensured that material and information

allocation, production planning, and shipping in North American.
Developed and directed reporting procedures and information needed for strategic planning (SMP) and ongoing monitoring of the
business in coordination with plant controllers in order to meet global requirements.
Responsible for North American external (Ernest & Young) and internal (Sarbox) audit data preparation and analysis through plant
controlling staff and corporate order management staff.
Coordinated credit management with North American Credit Manager, Accounting Manager and Vice President of North American
Sales; and, ensured that plants carried out credit guidelines related to customer credit risk and order volume exposure for all global
customer base for North American plants.
Accomplishments
Based on further development of Sales and Operations Planning Process, SAP/MRP utilization, lot size, lead time and
bottleneck optimization improved inventory turns by 35% while increasing sales and maintaining delivery performance.
During 2006 ensured all customer orders were fulfilled in a timely manner by procurement of competitor products and
shifting of production to European facilities during a 4 month plant outage at feeder plant due to a plant fire.
During 2007 ensured all customer orders were fulfilled in a timely manner by optimizing production in North America and
European facilities during a 9 month facility outage which resulted in 30% loss production due to equipment failure.
North American Supply Chain Manager: January 2002-December
2004
Directed the coordination between order management, technical management and plant production planning personnel to balance sales
demand, inventory and production capacity at manufacturing sites in North America to ensure timely availability of material n eeded to
meet customer requirements and maximize plant optimization at the lowest cost.
Accomplishments
Established and chaired the Sales and Operations Planning process through interface with the Plant Managers and Vice
President of North American Sales .
Established guidelines and reporting standards for order management to allow consolidation of staffing within North
America and 50% staff reduction.

integration of sales forecast into production planning.
