2. Brief History of YCCI-LIB
How it all started
Youth Climate Change Initiative- Liberia is an initiative of young
people who have decided to help take actions in addressing climate
change issues in Liberia, Africa and the rest of the world.
The initiative (usually referred to as the movement) was conceived in
2015 in Paris, France, during the Twenty-first session of the
Conference of the Parties (COP21).
The Initiative hopes to address the bigger picture of climate change
by appreciating its links with sustainable development.
In this regard, we hope to link climate change with key development
challenges, like poverty alleviation, agriculture, gender, health,
education, economic growth, urbanization and migrations, governance
among others.
3. OUR MISSION
To develop capacity and strong partnerships
among youth people from
around the world so that they may understand the
urgency of the
situation and take action against the impacts of
climate change for
both present and future generations.
4. OUR VISION
A country and a world with a united
youth movement and empowered,
proactively involved in the decision
making process and the adoption
of sustainable options towards a
better climate and social equity.
5. WHAT DO WE DO??????
We Advocate
Innovate
Educate
and Represent Young people on Climate
Change and Environmental Issues.
6. CLIMATE SATURDAY
aimed at Educating, Sensitizing and creating
awareness about Climate change and its growing
effects on Liberia and the world at large. Climate
Saturday also intend to create a climate friendly
generation.
This project is also intended to take climate Change
messages and awareness campaign to communities
every Saturday across Liberia.

Change Club ( Green Clubs)
"Engaging the Younger Generation to joined the fight“
“Building a climate Smart generation”
a platform that seeks to help high schools and colleges/universities create a
campus-wide culture of waste management and conservation, work with
students, teachers and parents in promoting and maintaining a clean
environment both at school and home by providing schools with the tools,
training and support they need to create a culture of waste management both
on and off campus, raise environmental awareness among school going
students.
This group will focuses on building knowledge of alternative leadership, social
entrepreneurship, Governance, and innovation to Prevent and Combat
Climate Change.
18. Liberia Youth Climate Change and
Environmental Fellowship
Youth and Student Green Business and Clean Energy Summit
Summit that will bring together students and youth with
interest, desire, prototype as well as idea in promoting
green business and clean energy innovation in Liberia
faced to faced with key stake holders and Non
Governmental organizations and governmental
organizations as well as linking them with opportunities
and funding as well as the promotion of low Carbon
Emission in the country.
This program also aims at promoting and bridging the gap
between the youth and students community, the
Government and Non-Governmental Organization, in the
sector of green business and clean energy.
22. RECOMMENDATION
That our that continuous partnership be built among stakeholders for
knowledge sharing, capacity building, etc
That National Government include young people especially youth institutions
in national decision and policy formulations for the betterment of our country
