Creating a digipak
Artwork
In order to find a suitable piece of artwork for the album cover we thought it
would be a good idea to go around taking photos of random things and
heavily edit them on Photoshop to give them the weird and abstract design
that we are hoping for to follow the Alt-J conventions. Below are the original
photos that we took.

Narrowing down the choices
After a lot of discussion within the group we narrowed our choices down to the two
below.

Our reasons for these two are that we feel they suit Alt-J, and Alt-J’s audience. In
order to choose just one of the two we will ask our target audience.
Decision
In order to come to a conclusion we asked our target audience the simple question.
‘Which piece of artwork do you prefer?’. The results are displayed below.

Approximately 33% of people chose the artwork arrowed purple on the chart – and
approximately 66% chose the artwork arrowed grey on the chart.
In conclusion to this and our own personal opinions we feel that the piece of artwork
with the majority of the votes is the best.
