What are the intern's most
valuable skills?
Taylor is confident and personable, she represents herself very well when assisting in
sales appointments and has built great relationships with her fellow interns as well as
members of the staff.
Taylor is a good listener and takes directions well-- she does not need much guidance
and is happy to take initiative. She is good at anticipating our needs and seemed to
understand the business right away.
In what ways does the intern
contribute to your workplace?
Taylor's bright personality, interest in fashion, and attention to detail make her a great
assistant in sales appointments and also in assisting our press director with marketing
efforts. In addition, Taylor has enthusiastically volunteered to help out after hours or for
extra days when we need the help, which has given her opportunities to learn more
than she would within her normally scheduled hours.
What area(s) can the intern
focus on during the second
half of the semester to
continue their professional
growth?
Overall we are very pleased with Taylor in all aspects of the job. We will continue to
work with her to develop sales skills and will have her assist in a tradeshow near the
end of her internship. Taylor has expressed interest in continuing to work in sales
appointments and on store-visits, she really enjoys learning the process from both the
sales and buying perspective, as well as gathering intel on trends, etc. throughout the
market season.
