• Having a “conversation” builds relationships faster
than email and forums
• Display good communication skills and promote
an open and honest relationship

• Share your mistakes and lessons learnt with your
Mentor and fellow Mentees
• Be honest about problem areas and be receptive to
feedback
• Maintain confidentiality

5 Steps to get connected with a Student Mentor
1. Join UCROO: Visit www.ucroo.com.au
2. Sign up using your student email
3. Go to on the left-hand menu bar
4. Search the available Mentors (use the filters) to
find someone you think you would like as a
Mentor – this could be someone you met during Orientation, or
someone with similar interests and course to yourself
5. Join! (please only join one group to ensure others are able to
access the Mentor program)
