Complete the application on the ABPM website by June 30 (late applications accepted July 1-
15 for additional fee). Accepted applicants will be notified via email to select their exam date.
ABPM is looking into the exam being remotely proctored for the convenience of all applicants.
Note: Current ABAM Diplomates may be eligible and are encouraged to apply before the ABAM
Diplomate Pathway closes in 2021. Diplomates who passed ABAM’s 2015
certification/recertification exam may qualify without having to sit for the exam.

Prepare for the exam with the essential primer in addiction medicine, the virtual ASAM Board
Exam Study Course. The course includes two days of live-stream sessions on July 16 and 17, as
well as eight additional on-demand sessions. All live-stream sessions will be recorded and
available on-demand 24/7 in the ASAM e-Learning Center.
