This document provides summaries of three Greek legends: Perseus and Medusa, about the hero Perseus who slays the gorgon Medusa; Cassandra, about the Trojan princess who received the gift of prophecy but was cursed so that nobody would believe her predictions; and Pandora's Box, where Pandora opens a jar containing all the evils of the world. It also briefly describes the eternal punishment of Tantalus, who is made to stand in water and beneath fruit that always eludes his grasp.
