4. Introduction
• With electronic access so readily available it is
particularly important be vigilant about ensuring
that students do not plagiarize.
• Plagiarism is not something new on the internet,
a recent Google search on ‘plagiarism’ netted
over eight million results.
• We need to emphasize that plagiarism is a big
violation of our social contract as theft.
• It is crucial that we educate students into
respecting the work of other rather graduating
still under the impression that plagiarism is no
big deal.

Plagiarism
Is an act or instance of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts
of another author without authorization and the representation of that
author's work as one's own, as by not crediting the original author.
Synonyms:
Appropriation, infringement, piracy, counterfeiting; theft, borrowing
cribbing, passing off.
PIGGY BACK
Where someone makes use of others efforts of other group members while
doing it in return.
FREE RIDERS
A team member who obtains benefits from membership but does not bear a
proportional share of the responsibility for generating the benefits.

Plagiarism is a serious offense. It is a crime punishable by law in
most countries. At times, ideas we believe are common knowledge
or original to us turn out to be something we heard from someone
or somewhere else. Lastly,we all can avoid plagiarism,freerider or
piggyback in our daily life by trust in ourself and to give more
effort on what we want.
