This document summarizes a study that analyzed heavy metal concentrations in dust deposited on the leaves of various orchards (almond, apricot, peach) and vegetables (cabbage, tomato, coriander) in Quetta, Pakistan during 2011. Chemical analysis found that lead concentrations ranged from 1.00-2.00 mg/g, manganese ranged from 1.12-1.31 mg/g, copper ranged from 1.11-1.46 mg/g, zinc ranged from 1.14-1.72 mg/g, and nickel ranged from 0.34-1.44 mg/g.
