Objective
Data Acquiring & processing of Gamma ray log
Identification of sandstone & shale rocks
Depth calculation through tool running
Time measurement of tool
Formation of homogenous reservoir
Present a concept of casing by using the PVC pipes of different dia
4. earners
Procedure
The casing is made by cutting the PVC pipes of its desire dia & length.
The homogenous reservoir is made by making a formation with the help of
different types of rocks.
Depth can be calculated by moving tool in borehole with the help of gear motor in
clockwise & anti-clockwise direction.
Time can be calculated on stop watch when tool travels the cycle of motion in
borehole.
The programming on Arduino helps us in acquiring & processing gamma ray log.
The model is first simulated on protous software in order to get correct readings.

Results
We have presented a concept of casing by using PVC
pipes of different dia.
Different types of rocks in aquarium is clearly showing
the homogenous reservoir.
We have accomplished our task of displaying Gamma
ray log on LCD.
The maximum value on log is presenting the shale rock
while minimum value is the interpretation of sandstone
rock.
LCD is also showing the depth, as the tool is moving in
downward & upward direction through the movement of
gear motor in clockwise & anti-clockwise direction.
Tool takes 4 seconds in completing half cycle of motion
in borehole.
