• Dealer has started an application but not submitted
it. Dealer can cancel this application at any time.
Application in Progress by dealers
• The grant approval is now automatic so you can register a
vehicle on the same day you apply for the grant. The
customer can take the car home the same day as
completing the sale.

• Dealer has uploaded transaction document and invoice. The grant system has
been unable to complete the initial checks on registration and tax. System will
continue to check these details for the next 10 days

performed initial checks regarding registration and tax and has checked dates
versus date of approval and date of expiry of grant offer.

• SEAI have reviewed and approved vehicle registration and tax details

• The application is going though the final verification prior to payment.
Awaiting Payment
• SEAI have issued payment instruction for the grant. The payment
process has begun on this grant application. Once the dealer
receives a remittance email the funds have been transferred.

• The system has been unable to reconcile the details of the grant application with the
details of the vehicle. The grant application now requires intervention from the dealer.
Dealer will receive an email detailing the issue, documents are now required to be
corrected and resubmitted to the online system.
Resubmit Registration
• The grant payment application has failed. Dealer will have received email detailing the
reason for failure.
Tax, VIN and Registration Verification Failed
• The grant has passed the expiry date without dealer submitting transaction document and
invoice, grant application is automatically cancelled.
• Dealer has requested grant application to be cancelled by SEAI.

11. • Email notifications
– The grant system has one mail address for all notifications to be
sent. The dealership should ensure these go to an email address / inbox
that is regularly monitored.
– Please read the email notification. This will tell you why a grant has
failed.
– This email is also used for the remittance advice when the payment is
made
– If you need the email updated please email evgrantscheme@seai.ie from
the email address currently on the system. If this isn’t possible email the
request on headed paper with your dealer ID, the existing email and the
new one to be added.
