5. Australians disengaged at work
Gallup study of employee engagement found only 24% of Australians are engaged with their
job compared to 60% who are not engaged and 16% who are actively disengaged. Actively
disengaged workers account for more quality defects, safety incidents, higher rates of
absenteeism and lower retention rates.
