5. Payment of Wages Act – 1936
Objective of the Act:-
It regulates payment of wages to employees (direct & indirect).

6. Employee Compensation Act -1923
Objective :
This is an Act to provide for the
payment by certain classes of
Employers to their workmen (Employee)
of compensation for injury by accident
during the course of Employment.

8. Employees State Insurance Act - 1948
Objective :
Govt. introduced a scheme of Social
Insurance for industrial workers
To provide for certain benefits to employees
in case of sickness, maternity and
“employment injury”
To provide full medical care to insured
persons & their families.

1. Employees’ Contribution – 1.75% of the Wages
2. Employers’ Contribution – 4.75% of the Wages
3. Total Contribution - 6.50 % * Gross Salary
