1. Customer segmentation for a credit card company to define marketing strategy for each
segment
∑ Advanced Data Preparation - Built an enriched customer profile by deriving KPIs such as
monthly average purchase, cash advance, average transaction per purchase etc.
∑ Clustering – Applied data reduction technique using factor analysis for identifying
important variales.
2. Linear and logistic regression cases-
i) Proactive attrition management for a telecom provider and a bank (loan fraud) to
develop a model for predicting the customers churn in advance .
ii) Understanding the total spend of credit card by a customer and prioritize the drivers
based on the importance.
∑ Data Preparation – Initiated with data cleaning including missing values, outliers and
multi-collinearity.
∑ Developing a model – Used a part of existing data to develop a model using logistic
regression and linear analysis and identified key variables impacting the churn and spend.
∑ Validating the model – Validated the model by applying the identified equation to remaining
set of data. Used deciles analysis and KS scores to set the cut off for churners.
