STORY TELLING + SPACE
2
At Anecdote, we believe design is more than just a problem-solving process. It is a mindset
that results in solutions which evolve as products, spaces, visuals and experiences; invariably
connecting with people.
Based on individuals, the connections made are either tangible like experiences or memory.
Design after all, is human centric. It is as practical as it is intuitive. It is as much about reflection
as it is about welcoming the way forward.
In all things great and small that we build and shape, we believe lies a story. A fable that needs
narration, a memory that deserves remembrance and feelings that need to be experienced.
At Anecdote, we build these stories. We are the story tellers for spaces.

TILE
STORE
Design Approach |
Tiles as product can be compared
to garments for the simple
reason that it is what defines the
aesthetics and the personality of
a bathroom or a home. Our
approach to Tile shopping
experience is equated to garment
shopping where a look and style
is sold than a product.
The store is designed to
showcase Design Looks ( rustic,
contemporary etc.) along with
designs to inspire the customers
to buy a look than a tile. The
customer experience is designed
to be self explorative and guided
only when needed.

STORE
Design Approach |
The process of selection goes
through stages of exploration,
evaluation and decision.
The store is divided into the design
zone and the high-density stocking
zone. The design zone encourage a
self-exploratory experience over a
guided experience with the
periphery used for display of
products and the central area is
more interactive thus enabling
exploration and evaluation.
The high-density stock area is
guided by the sales team and
heavily stocked. The products are
categorized as per brand, cost and
size. The final step of selection
which is decision is mainly closed in
this zone.

and more efficient.
The display units are designed to
encourage “ the touch & feel “

Anecdote work v2020may

  • 2. 2 At Anecdote, we believe design is more than just a problem-solving process. It is a mindset that results in solutions which evolve as products, spaces, visuals and experiences; invariably connecting with people. Based on individuals, the connections made are either tangible like experiences or memory. Design after all, is human centric. It is as practical as it is intuitive. It is as much about reflection as it is about welcoming the way forward. In all things great and small that we build and shape, we believe lies a story. A fable that needs narration, a memory that deserves remembrance and feelings that need to be experienced. At Anecdote, we build these stories. We are the story tellers for spaces. WHO WE ARE.

  • 8. Anecdote design 8 SRINATH TILE STORE Design Approach | Tiles as product can be compared to garments for the simple reason that it is what defines the aesthetics and the personality of a bathroom or a home. Our approach to Tile shopping experience is equated to garment shopping where a look and style is sold than a product. The store is designed to showcase Design Looks ( rustic, contemporary etc.) along with designs to inspire the customers to buy a look than a tile. The customer experience is designed to be self explorative and guided only when needed. Through digital media and a design library, the customers are taken through various design stories to inspire and to enable them to have their own idea-starter. WARM . WELCOMING . ECLECTIC . Store design Srinath sanitaryware, Bangalore
  • 10. Anecdote design 10 SRINATH TILE STORE Design Approach | The process of selection goes through stages of exploration, evaluation and decision. The store is divided into the design zone and the high-density stocking zone. The design zone encourage a self-exploratory experience over a guided experience with the periphery used for display of products and the central area is more interactive thus enabling exploration and evaluation. The high-density stock area is guided by the sales team and heavily stocked. The products are categorized as per brand, cost and size. The final step of selection which is decision is mainly closed in this zone. Store design Srinath sanitaryware, Bangalore Retail Experience design
  • 11. Anecdote design 11 SRINATH TILE STORE Design Approach | The store is designed to encourage professionals to bring their clients along to create together. With access to tiles and a space to create along with a material library, the process of decision making can be faster and more efficient. The display units are designed to encourage “ the touch & feel “ experience. They also communicate product stories through graphics, digital content and exclusive product installations and mock-ups. Retail Experience design Store design Srinath sanitaryware, Bangalore
  • 12. Anecdote design 12 SRINATH TILE STORE Design Approach | The process of selection goes through exploration, evaluation and decision. The exploration process is enabled by display of design stories through physical mock-ups, digital platforms, product display according to design. The process of evaluation is enables through the mock-ups where the customers can try out their selected tiles on 1:1 scale along with the complimenting materials which is available to them as part of the design studio.
