Water pollution occurs when pollutants are discharged directly or indirectly into water bodies without proper treatment, and can have harmful effects on human health. Polluted drinking water can cause diseases like cholera, typhoid, and diarrhea. Chemicals like fluoride, arsenic, lead, chlorine, and petrochemicals in water can also adversely affect human health. To prevent water pollution, people should properly dispose of waste, use water wisely, and not dump chemicals down drains or toilets. Farmers should also be mindful not to overuse pesticides and fertilizers.

3. WATER POLLUTION
Water pollution occurs when
pollutants (Particles,
chemicals or substances that
make water contaminated)
are discharge directly or
indirectly into water bodies
without enough treatment to
get rid of harmful
compounds.
6. EFFECTS ON HUMAN HEALTH
Humans are affected by water
pollution.
Diseases like hepatitis are caused by
eating sea food that is poisoned or
contaminated.
Polluted drinking water can causes
cholera or typhoid infections and also
diarrhea.
Highly polluted water can harm
internal organs like heart and kidneys.
Synthetic organics cause serious
damage to human health.
Chemical like fluoride, arsenic, lead,
chlorine and petrochemicals in water
can cause adverse effect on human
health etc.
7. PREVENTION OF WATER POLLUTION
Never throw rubbish away anyhow.
Always look for the correct waste bin.
Use water wisely. Do not keep the
tap running when not in use.
Do not throw chemicals, oils, paints
and medicines down the sink drain or
the toilet.
Buy more environmentally safe
cleaning liquids for use at home and
other public places.
If you use chemicals and pesticides
for your gardens and farms, be
mindful not to overuse pesticides and
fertilizers.
