15. Findings
• Forty one percentage of patients (41%) are having Health Insurance
products .This data indicates that the remaining dominant group of
people (59%) are not having of Health Insurance Products.
• 69% of the health insurance availing respondents were having health
insurance from public insurer while 31% were availing health
insurance products from private insurer.
• 26% of the respondents having health insurance have individual
health insurance. 52% have group insurance and remaining 22% are
have family floater health insurance.
• 17.4% avail health insurance for tax benefits. 52% have health
insurance because of employer’s contribution, 9% avail health
insurance because of existing illness, 22% avail health insurance to
avail better medical treatment.

• Out of 33 respondents who are not having any health insurance
products 76% are aware of health insurance but remaining 24%
people are completely unaware about health insurance.
• 9% feel that there are no tax benefits to avail health insurance, 6%
have bad experience about insurance, 21% say that major diseases
are not covered under health insurance, 12% feel that there is no
requirement of health insurance, 27% have misconception about
insurance.
