INTRODUCTION
The report describes the gender equality issues at the global front. It also states the
implications of equality in Arab countries like UAE. The progress report of UAE shows that
it has made great advancements on gender equality but many milestones are yet to be
achieved. The report also covers the measures that should be considered to provide equal
opportunities to all.
THE GLOBAL DIMENSION
The international forum has made important and note worthy March in relation to
elating people out of deficiency and maintain equality paradigm. The most susceptible
countries are the developing countries, small islands developing states carry on to make
efforts in reducing poverty and elevating equality notions. But then also inequality prevails
and large divergence is found in the fields of education, health services and other sectors
(Brown, Mielke & Kolbe-Alexander, 2016). Even today a considerable mass of household in
just beginning countries (additional than 75 per cent of the inhabitants) are subsist in
community where disparity still persist. A worldwide review conducted by UN growth plan,
assured that variation in urbanized countries is in general towering and potentially a hazard to
long-term communal and fiscal progress (Berdahl, Uhlmann & Bai, 2015). A person with
disabilities needs five times more than an average expenditure on catastrophic health, even
though social protection has been globally extended. In many developing countries though
there is a decline in maternal mortality but in rural areas woman die three times more than in
an urban area while giving birth to a new life. As per to the account, the world’s masculinity
disparities reduced a little in 2013 due to worldwide widespread advancements in communal
equality and active participation of political parties, that lessen the inequalities between the
opposite genders.
THE NATIONAL DIMENSION
The UAE formed the Gender Balance Council to improve working culture by
providing equal opportunity to every section of the society. UAE also launched the Gender
Inequality Index for Government sector. The committee frames a policy that strengthen the
structure various management authorities. In UAE, the women have the same legitimate
privileges as men. As per to World financially viable Forum’s comprehensive femininity
account 2016 UAE holds eighth among the other nations in providing wage equality for
similar work and first rank for providing equal literacy rights. Even half of the trading

activities in the small to medium project are handled by women in the UAE. First military
college for women naming Khawla bint Al Azwar Military School has been opened by the
authorities. The Federal National Council includes 9 women members in the constitution
from among remaining 40 members. As per the UAE Educational Board Council, the girls
are getting equal education rights like boys. Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, the leader of the Dubai female organization, also summoned that with intelligent
management, correct guidance, strict execution of policies and theories perfect environment
for the development of women created proper growth opportunities for women and the status
of women has considerably improved (Adriaanse & Schofield, 2014). In UAE, here the
women are empowered with equal rights and contribute towards the economical
advancements with equal pride. But is still a lot more to do scope of improvement has not
lessen. The investments in education are not sufficient in many regions like Bahrain, Qartar,
and others. The Arab countries like Saudi Arabia needs to generate more employing
opportunities for women as they have less areas of working environment. New policies
regarding the employment of women in the enterprises must be introduced.
SELF REFLECTION
It is extremely fundamental to have acquired this grade be as it propagate a letter of
achievement to each and every one the population of the UAE that they are refreshing and
treasured and can look forward to their probable to be built-up not considering of femininity,
so that they can formulate a accompanying giving on the way to the triumph of humanity and
community. I believe UAE to be most important nation in contributing towards the women
empowerment and reducing disparities. The way education has advanced in the Mena region,
the same will spread on to the whole nation which will further aid in reduction of imbalances
and create new opportunities for women. With the active involvement of women in all the
spheres of the societal affairs the standard of living of people also increases. I suggest with
reducing inequalities and providing equal opportunities to all elimination of poverty, curbing
domestic violence becomes easy. I also assert that with reduction of gender inequality the
ladder to the growth of economic conditions of the society and nation also increases. Being in
UAE has been an enthralling experience; I can see lots of possibilities for all the sections of
society here. The authorities here comprehend zero tolerance attitudes towards the vigilant
creatures who comprehend the modern values and sets strict regulations and rules to adhere
them.
