Phosphate Hill, an integrated fertiliser manufacturing facility owned by Incitec Pivot, is located approximately
1000km by road from Townsville and 200km south of Mt Isa. The project involved the construction of a new
dam, Cell 5, to store Phosphogypsum, a by-product of the process. The scope of works on this $28M project
included earthworks (372,000m3excavation, 292,000m3 general fill), 470,00m3 of HDPE liner, 9km of HDPE
pipe, a 4.5km slurry pipeline and numerous drainage structures through the site.
Duties
 Works included bulk earth works, driving Moxy in construction of earth bund walls, creek re-alignment
and rock checks.
 Safe and efficient operation of Water Cart managing critical dust control across whole of project area.

Bowen Basin approximately 18 kilometres southwest of Coppabella. It will produce up to 4.5 million tonnes per
annum (Mtpa) of semi-hard coking coal and pulverised coal injection (PCI) coal for the export market.
