Employment History:
Sabbatical April 2014 to date.
(Property development)
Took a sabbatical to develop a couple of properties I owned in the North of England. As a result of
this time investment I recently sold one for £200K in excess of its original valuation.
Spargonet Consulting plc (contract) July 2013 – April 2014
Senior Business Analyst-UK Mail
Initially assigned by Spargonet to work at UK Mail as part of a team of BA’s for 5 weeks. At the end
of this period UK Mail advised that they no longer required the other BA’s but specifically asked to
retain me to spearhead a number of forthcoming projects.
The projects I was assigned to include the redesign and re-launch of the two primary websites for UK
Mail: ‘imail’ and ‘ipostparcels’. I also delivered the requirements for a number of new products and
services.
I worked closely with all major stakeholders, including UK Mail’s directors and their key clients.
A key skill I demonstrated was the ability to present to senior management potential commercial
benefits. I was also able to present the requirements in terms they could understand. This had
previously been considered to be a significant challenge.
I demonstrated a consistent track record of bringing all stakeholders on-board and achieving sign-off
in a far shorter timeframe than any other analyst at UK Mail. As a result I was asked to mentor the
other consultants on site.
Spargonet wished to extend my contract with UK Mail for a further 6 months but I declined. I had
greatly enjoyed working there but the role was based in Birmingham. . The role would therefore have
entailed continued hotel accommodation over an extended period. I also considered I might get more
financial benefit by devoting this time to develop and sell the property portfolio mentioned above.
Spargonet Consulting plc (permanent) Sept 2012 – June 2013
Project Manager – Trafigura and Network Rail
Assigned to Trafigura (Commodities Trading) to manage a Hedging project. The team consisted of 8
developers within a Java/Oracle environment.
Subsequently assigned to project manager the development of a suite of mobile applications for
Network Rail.
Both assignments were within an agile framework.

Notable Events:
I took over a project viewed as being in crisis by the bank. Early milestones had been missed and as a
result the completion dates for Systems Testing and UAT were considered to be at risk. Succeeded in
implementing a combined testing by introducing Scrum methodologies and then working with both testing
teams to bring the project back on track. Commended by Group Change Management for my support;
“…my thanks for the role Stuart Redhead has performed in managing the technology element of the
combined testing delivery for ID&V. He was also invaluable support for Group Change Management
throughout. He has demonstrated great commitment and skill in getting us to a place where we will be
able to sign off testing on schedule.”

Project management of a SWIFT payments solution for Rabobank. Largest project ever
undertaken by ACE. Project’s goal is to replace the middleware layer in the group’s SWIFT
infrastructure and meet their business and IT requirements for the next 5 years. This involved
enhancing ACE’s SWIFT STP payments product to fulfil the bank’s requirements. The project
also required the design and configuration of a number of STP flows that integrate with back-
office applications and can process SWIFT MT and MX type messages along with EDIFACT
formatted data. Managed the project from Start Up and requirements gathering through to

Kuda Technology Feb 2005 – June 2006
Business Owner
My primary activities were business analysis, project management and stakeholder management.
Gained experience of all aspects of business management including business planning, cash flow
forecasting, sales and marketing, bookkeeping, invoicing and P&L management.
Key Projects:
Project: Referral Engine. Mission-critical server application that processes
approximately £20 million of business PA in real time. System comprises complex
rule-base and distribution algorithms. Application designed to be an extremely
robust and adaptable platform suitable for future Agile development.
Moneynet (Financial Services Portal) 2003 – Feb 2005
Application Development Manager
Moneynet is a financial portal and derives its income by generating leads to sell on to other financial
companies. It was one of my clients whilst at Inlumen (see below) and I was approached to work for
them after Inlumen’s closure.
Role in Company:
I was responsible for new product development and data integration with 3rd party APIs. This role
involved liaising with all stakeholders to establish the business case and user requirements and then to
derive the project specification.
Moneynet's success is largely based on its ability to respond swiftly to changes in competitor activity
and client requirements. I therefore applied Scrum based methodologies to manage the projects.
Key Projects & Notable Events:
Project: Loan Wizard. A browser-based expert system able to help users shortlist
loan providers and products suitable to their financial circumstances. The system
comprises a rule base containing the selection criteria used by the different
providers. The application interacts dynamically with the applicant and is designed
to arrive at the final result-set by asking the minimum questions possible.
Early versions of the Referral Engine. (The referral engine is covered in more detail
under ‘Kuda Technology’- see above). 3 versions of the application were built
whilst working directly for Moneynet in order to accommodate new commercial
goals for the company.
Managed the migration of Moneynet’s web site to a new host.

Inlumen (Stock Market Data Portal) June 2000 – Oct 2002
European Technical Project Manager
Inlumen was a global organisation that specialised in the development of Internet applications for the
redistribution of news and stock market related data. It had offices in New York, Paris, London,
Jerusalem and Singapore. The company closed at the end of November 2002 after the sale of its assets
and technology to one of its competitors.
Role in Company:
My duties included managing the European web production department, technical sales support,
liaising with clients to establish project's technical requirements, devising the project architecture and
creating the project specification. He was also closely involved with new product development.
The role entailed significant change management and handling global projects with stakeholders based
across several continents. Many projects also required working with off shore resources.
Key Projects & Notable Events
Sent to the New York headquarters to manage the development of a browser-based
application that enabled customers search for and select relevant articles from
Inlumen’s news-feeds and then publish these on their own web sites.
Managed to fulfil single-handedly all Inlumen’s clients’ technical requirements
worldwide in the fortnight after the collapse of the World Trade Center. The
company’s New York office was very close to the site and was completely closed
off following the disaster. Inlumen’s CEO and the board of directors sent an email
to everyone in the company stating the company only pulled through this period
thanks to my efforts.
Worked on solutions for leading global financial institutions, including Citibank,
Hoover’s Inc, Monte Paschi Banque and Swiss Re.
Previous 8 years spent in IT working through development, can be expanded if required.
