Survey Manager 2013 – 2015
The scope of my employment at Hayden was to start an in-house survey department to self-
perform the company’s projects in the Arizona and Texas markets. My role in managing 14
employees included maintaining schedules, performance management and coaching, providing
detailed potential client bids and project budgets in coordination with executive management
and other various project managers. Another function I enjoyed was negotiating equipment
purchases and assisting with the integration of our heavy equipment division to use machine
control technology.
Ames Construction, Inc. | Scottsdale, Arizona
Surveyor 2008 – 2013
During my tenure at Ames Construction, I was the only licensed surveyor in Arizona on the
company staff, with direct oversight of surveying needs for all of their statewide projects. I held
the responsibility of ensuring all staff was appropriately trained on processes and appropriate
safety guidelines while also providing quality control governance for 6 other non-licensed
surveyors with the task of executing the sign off for all A.D.O.T forms.

Construction Manager 2002 – 2004
My duties as a Construction Manager primarily consisted of scheduling subcontractors to
perform their contracted work tasks, maintaining project scope/budget, and managing cash

flows throughout the duration of each project. Some additional tasks for which I was
responsible include mass earthwork, dust control, public utility construction and city street
construction. Both scheduling and safety were crucial when providing reports to the multiple
developers involved in these projects, as was closeout of punch list items and final product
delivery to municipality clients.
Oxford Surveying, Inc. | Phoenix, Arizona
Owner/President 1993 – 2000
I held the title of owner/operator for Oxford Surveying, Inc. which was a private surveying
company servicing the state of Arizona. At the peak of the private development boom we
employed a staff of 15, generating revenues of approximately $2 million dollars annually while
maintaining strong professional relationships with Arizona’s large residential and commercial
builders. I managed company cash flows and operating budgets as well as scheduling all field
work. I negotiated large contracts for projects as well as vehicle and equipment purchases and
financing.
