EXTRA CHARGES CAN DOUBLE THE COST OF CAR HIRE
YouGov research revealed consumers renting a car in
the UK or overseas felt buying excess insurance from
the rental firm was a rip off. Many said it’s expensive,
dropped on them at the rental desk and has hidden
costs involved. If excess cover isn’t bought by a car hire
customer, they could end up being liable for as much as
£1,500 if the vehicle is damaged or stolen.
