RTI / Finance Combination Gap
In the event of your car being stolen and not
recovered or in an accident and declared a
total loss, very few customers will receive from
their motor insurer the amount they originally
paid for the car, or the finance outstanding and
this may mean they have to buy a lower spec
vehicle or struggle to replace this vehicle at all.
GAP Insurance provides valuable benefits for
the majority of customers who purchase a new
or used vehicle.
If a Total Loss of the insured Vehicle occurs
within the Territorial Limits during the Period of
Insurance, We will pay the difference between
the Insured Value (The amount that You receive
under Your Motor Insurance Policy in respect of
Your Vehicle being a Total Loss) and either the
purchase price of the insured Vehicle as
confirmed by the Net Invoice Selling Price or the
amount of Your Early Settlement Finance Figure,
whichever is the greater.
Eligibility Requirements
You are eligible for cover under this policy
provided:
1. You purchase this policy within 180 days of
taking ownership of the Vehicle from a VAT
Registered Dealership or Internet Broker.
2. The Net Invoice Selling Price does not exceed
£150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand
pounds);
3. The Vehicle is listed in Glass’s Guide and is less
than 8 years old, and has covered less than
80,000, on the day that You purchase Your
policy;
4. The Vehicle is not specifically excluded under
the terms and condition of this policy.
Policy Transfer
If You sell Your Vehicle, provided that no claim
has been made under this Insurance, You may
transfer the remaining cover to the eligible
Replacement Vehicle, subject to Our
agreement. Where the Purchase Price of the
replacement Vehicle is greater than the original
Vehicle Purchase Price, an additional premium
may be required.

Misfuel Protect
Misfuel Protect
It can be worryingly easy to Misfuel. This is
particularly common in households with access
to more than one vehicle and companies with
fleets of vehicles running on different fuel types.
An unleaded petrol pump nozzle is smaller than
a diesel nozzle and so fits into the fuel tank
without resistance.
With an increasing number of households
owning multiple cars which use different fuel
types, accidents are becoming more
commonplace.
With a few things on your mind, or being in the
usual routine of using petrol, a moment's
inattention can lead to a costly mistake..
What Is Provided?
Mis-Fuel Protect provides peace of mind for
motorists.
• The policy covers cars, vans and
motorcycles with assistance available 24
hours a day, every day of the year.
• Roadside assistance companies charge
£200+ (Excluding replacement fuel).
• 150,000 motorists misfuel every year.
• The cost to drain petrol, repair parts and
replace diesel fuel can come to
anything up to £3,000
• The repairs needed after fuel is drained
may not be covered by Insurance,
Warranties or Breakdown cover

EXTRA CHARGES CAN DOUBLE THE COST OF CAR HIRE
YouGov research revealed consumers renting a car
in the UK or overseas felt buying excess insurance
from the rental firm was a rip off. Many said it’s
expensive, dropped on them at the rental desk and
has hidden costs involved. If excess cover isn’t
bought by a car hire customer, they could end up
being liable for as much as £1,500 if the vehicle is
damaged or stolen.
This policy from Nice 1 meets the demands and
needs of a person seeking to protect the amount
they are liable to pay under their car hire agreement
in the event of an incident affecting the vehicle
during their period of hire and other loss incidental to
the hire where the eligibility criteria are met.
This policy will cover you for certain events as
detailed opposite on a reimbursement basis.
Significant Exclusions
(1) You must be at least 21 years of age and be a resident of the United
Kingdom
(2) Result in a loss occurring within 180 days of the date of the accident.
(3) You are not covered for wear, tear and depreciation of the article(s)
(4) You are not covered for the cost of replacing locks when only the parts

i. The car rental agreement, and
ii. A medical certificate from a medical practitioner confirming the nature
of the illness, dates of the illness and the dates you were confined to bed.
b. Any claim if the car rental agreement was for less than 7 days.
(6) You are covered up to the amount shown in the benefits schedule for
any drop off charges you incur through the car rental company in the
event of there being no one on the car rental agreement available to
return the rental vehicle to the originally intended car rental station
following an accident/illness for which at least one nights hospitalisation
takes place.
(7) You are covered up to the amount shown in the benefits schedule in

mechanical or electrical failure.
What type of appliances can I cover and how
many?

Dishwasher, Free Standing Cooker, Freezer, Fridge /
Freezer , Hob, Oven, Microwave Oven, Refrigerator,

What is the difference between Cover Level options?
There is no difference in the risks covered whichever
option you select. The differences are in the number
and type of products you can insure and in the
maximum amount that you can claim during the
period of insurance as follows:
Cover Level A
You can only insure domestic appliances (up to 3
items in all) and the maximum you can claim is
limited to £1,000 during the period of insurance.
Cover Level B
You can insure domestic appliances up to a

our opinion the item is beyond economic repair we
will, at our discretion, replace it with one of identical
or similar specification provided the cost of
replacement does not exceed the price paid for the
original item.
If the item to be replaced is more than four years old
a deduction for depreciation in accordance with
the age related scale set out in the policy will apply
to your claim.

HMRC?

  • 3. RTI / Finance Combination Gap In the event of your car being stolen and not recovered or in an accident and declared a total loss, very few customers will receive from their motor insurer the amount they originally paid for the car, or the finance outstanding and this may mean they have to buy a lower spec vehicle or struggle to replace this vehicle at all. GAP Insurance provides valuable benefits for the majority of customers who purchase a new or used vehicle. If a Total Loss of the insured Vehicle occurs within the Territorial Limits during the Period of Insurance, We will pay the difference between the Insured Value (The amount that You receive under Your Motor Insurance Policy in respect of Your Vehicle being a Total Loss) and either the purchase price of the insured Vehicle as confirmed by the Net Invoice Selling Price or the amount of Your Early Settlement Finance Figure, whichever is the greater. Eligibility Requirements You are eligible for cover under this policy provided: 1. You purchase this policy within 180 days of taking ownership of the Vehicle from a VAT Registered Dealership or Internet Broker. 2. The Net Invoice Selling Price does not exceed £150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand pounds); 3. The Vehicle is listed in Glass’s Guide and is less than 8 years old, and has covered less than 80,000, on the day that You purchase Your policy; 4. The Vehicle is not specifically excluded under the terms and condition of this policy. Policy Transfer If You sell Your Vehicle, provided that no claim has been made under this Insurance, You may transfer the remaining cover to the eligible Replacement Vehicle, subject to Our agreement. Where the Purchase Price of the replacement Vehicle is greater than the original Vehicle Purchase Price, an additional premium may be required. If You accept an offer of settlement from Your Motor Insurer of less than the current Market Value of the Vehicle, We reserve the right to contact the Motor Insurer in Your name to assess the offer of settlement and where necessary seek settlement in-line with the Market Value at the time of the incident that lead to Your Vehicle being declared a Total Loss. If in our opinion the item is beyond economic repair we will, at our discretion, replace it with one of identical or similar specification provided the cost of replacement does not exceed the price paid for the original item. If the item to be replaced is more than four years old a deduction for depreciation in accordance with the age related scale set out in the policy will apply to your claim.
