Family Partnership Meetings
What are FPMs?
They assist foster youth and their families to make decisions in a team format where everyone has a voice. They
are facilitated by a trained objective professional who will ensure equal treatment of all parties and a safe
environment.
Stages:
When should FPMs occur?
• High Risk Assessment
• Emergency Removal
• Prior to Change of Placement
• Prior to Change of Goal
• At the request of the parent, foster parent, or social worker, if connected to one of the other decision
points
