3. Anchor Text
Font is kept simple and classy as to not detract from the other
key features within the magazine
The use of initials gives a sense of mystery and can help entice
the audience
4. Main Image
Medium close up used to impose the artist on the reader.
Beau is seen looking at the camera thus creating a
relationship with the reader and drawing them in.
Within the age of my age bracket of 16-24
5. Big classy Elephant font.

Many magazines use similar styles.
Masthead
6. Grime Style
The dark simple colours of a conventional grime magazine are blatant in my front
cover. The blacks and the reds are synomnous with this genre of music and
complies with my codes and conventions suitably,
8. Masthead
Clean cut and simple, the laddered lettering has been used by a
few grime magazines and conforms with the codes and
conventions of adding appeal and style with out being over
bearing or gharish.
9. Page Numbers
The page numbers have been placed in numerical order which his standard
for any genre or design of a magazine contents page.
The colours red and black are synomnous with the genre of grime and so
appear frequently within the text.
10. Image
The main image is simple but effective
The codes and conventions that I researched taught me that
you never draw focus away from the artist so by dressing him
in a plain black t-shirt and making him a main part of the
page I am able to show the audience what is featuring in the
magazine as well as keeping the artist the vocal point of the
page.
12. Main Image
The main image I used conforms to the codes and conventions I
researched it does this as it is not crossing over to a secondary page
as to not get distorted.
I chose this image as the artist is displaying signs of disinterest and is
extremely similar to how magazine publishers want their artists to
look for shoots.
13. Text
For my double page spread I have chosen to go for a very
relaxed question and answer session, from my research I
have learned that many fans enjoy reading stuff like this
and getting to know the artist a little better and maybe
see them in a new light.
By having this question and answer session it humanises
the artist and in the grime business the main objective is
too stay grounded so by having this in here it is doing just
that and the readers can relate to that.
